Essay

Essay is derivative from a French word essayer, the word essayer means to effort, or to try. An essay is an undersized form of fictional arrangement founded on a single subject matter, and frequently gives individual view of an author.

Definition of Essay

Aldus Huxley defines essays as, a literary scheme for saying nearly all about practically anything. Oxford Dictionary describes it as, a small piece of writing on a precise subject.

Main parts of Essay

Introduction

It is the initial part of the theme of the essay. It gets ready the person who reads on the essay. Consequently, it should be real so that the readers are reinvigorated, stimulated to continue reading.

Introduce the main idea

Bring together the determination of the essay.

An effective body paragraphs

Talk over, or deliver indication to support the chief indication of the essay.

Body an essay

Body An essay contains body paragraphs, which create the core idea of the essay. Work-in coordination with the other body paragraphs to upkeep your essay’s main idea

Conclusion

An essay ends with a short-term conclusion, which brings the essay to a rational end.

Classification Essay

In a classification essay effects or thoughts are divided into exact groups and debates each of them. Establishing the essay by introducing each classification.

Example

Types of administration in Canada. Background information about the government in Canada will come in introduction. While information about federal government, provincial governments and municipal governments will come in supporting paragraph. And in the end summarize the government in Canada in the summarizing paragraph.

Definition Essay

In definition essay we suppose a word or an indication and write about what it is. Frequently, definitions are jointed with association or other forms of group in the essay. Just need to give a vigilant definition of the main word before going on to talk over different types or examples.

Example

Write an essay defining energy resources and discuss the different types. In the introduction paragraph the key term energy resources will be define. The type of energy resources renewable resources and nonrenewable resources will be defined in supporting paragraph .Summarize the energy resources in the summarizing paragraph.

Description Essay

In a description essay type of essay we write about what an individual, residence, or thing is like. Establishing the essay by telling altered parts or features of the main subject.

Example

Write an essay describing the polar bear. Describe what polar bear is in introduction paragraph. Describe where polar bear live what they eat and the body of polar bear in supporting paragraph. Summarize what a polar bear is in summarizing paragraph.

Compare and Contrast Essay

In a compare and contrast type of essay we inscribe about the resemblances and alterations between two or more individuals, residences, or things. Forming the essay by writing about one subject first and then comparing it with the second subject.

Example

Write an essay about weather in Karachi and Lahore. Introduce the weather of Karachi and Lahore in introduction paragraph. Compare weather in spring and summer for both cities. State how they are similar or different .Compare weather in fall and winter for both cities. State how they are similar or different; will account for supporting paragraph. Summarize the similarities and differences of both cities in summarizing paragraph.

Sequence Essay

In a sequence type of essay we are writing to define a sequence of actions or a procedure in some kind of order. Typically, this instruction is based on time. Consolidating the essay by writing about each stage of the procedure in the order it happened.

Example

Write an essay outlining the stages of the salmon life cycle.  Describe what a salmon is like in the introduction paragraph. Describe young salmon and adult salmon and what salmon do before they die in supporting paragraph. Summarize the main steps of the salmon life cycle in summarizing paragraph.
